I am a passionate foodie and for the last 8 years I have been working as a degree qualified Nutritionist and NZ REP’s registered Personal Trainer. I have worked with clients of all ages and varied needs to improve their health and well-being through exercise and nutrition. My professional career has allowed me to work with those wanting to lose weight and gain more energy, athletes of all abilities and families needing guidance with their food choices to help sustain healthier lives.
After a successful sporting career representing New Zealand in swimming, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Sports & Exercise Nutrition (University of Otago). From there, I went on to gain my qualification in advanced Personal Training as I saw a need to help clients not only with their nutritional guidance, but to align this with their fitness goals. These two qualifications help me to give clients the toolbox to success, enabling them to live healthier, happier, and more sustainable lifestyles.
One comment I find clients saying a lot is that “nutrition is confusing”. So, that is where I come in and make life easier for them.
My vision is to find sustainable eating habits that will work for individual lifestyles, families, and sporting needs. Whether you want to feel better about the food choices you are making, lose body weight/ fat or improve your families eating habits, you shouldn’t have to go on the latest ‘diet’ trend and feel hungry/ low in energy 24 hours a day. Food should be seen to nourish your body and be enjoyed as part of a healthy lifestyle, and that is where I can help to make better choices.
